09 Jul KME Take On New Challenges For Charity
On Wednesday 19th June 15 members of the KME team swapped their safety boots for running trainers and took part in the 2019 Lisburn half marathon, 10K and Fun Run. This was the first time that KME had taken part in this event and it was a great opportunity to raise money for local charity, TinyLife, which supports premature and vulnerable babies.
The event encouraged a few staff to step out of their comfort zone and to take part in a sporting activity and it was great to see all areas of the company represented with marketing, design engineers, machine operators, welders, fabricators, stores and management all getting involved, just another example of the fantastic team spirit that exists in KME and that has enabled the company to go from strength to strength over recent years.
The event was a huge success with all 15 participants crossing the finish line and raising £750.00 for TinyLife in the process.
