Buying Administrator – Part-time, Permanent

Salary – Negotiable

You will be responsible for all Buying, Stock and Pricing related tasks across the business under the guidance of the Operations Manager

Job Summary – Responsibilities and Duties

  • Obtaining stock set up details from manufacturers
  • Establish rituals & routines regarding Best Price Sourcing
  • Raising purchase orders
  • Arranging inbound stock deliveries
  • Completing Delivery Forecast Document with precision
  • Managing invoices and liaising with the Finance team to resolve any queries
  • Managing queries from the Goods in Team
  • Uploading pricelists
  • liaising with finance to complete system pricing amendments
  • Obtaining Specs sheets from manufactures
  • Managing core range requests
  • Provide Planning team and the relevant teams with Stock Due in Dates
  • Running Stock and Performance reports
  • Manage stock allocation and dispatch to the warehouse

Person Specification:

  • Experience in a similar role within the Steel Industry
  • Experience using MRP (advantageous)
  • Excellent organisational and time management skill with the ability to work well under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Excel Skills
  • Ability to work well on your own and be able to use own initiative
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Methodical and process driven
  • Ability to plan work and prioritise tasks with a high sense of urgency
  • Comfortable working with people at all levels
